Phase II Auburn Bike Park Nears Completion!
According to Auburn Bike Park’s Facebook page, the arrival of a huge batch of dirt donated by PG&E on Feb. 16 has moved up the possibility of ABP Phase II opening to end of Feb./early March 2022. Here’s a photo show of the progress so far (courtesy of Phil Sayre).
Mont Blanc Comes to Auburn!
We can’t move the famous mountain here, but The Canyons Ultras RD has brought the prestige of the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc here. Two of the Canyons events are now qualifiers for two of the Mont Blanc events. It’s a great fit for the Endurance Capital of the World™!
Forlorn Hope Reprise to Benefit PARC-Auburn
Don’t miss this benefit for Protect the American River Canyons: December 10, 4:30 to 8pm, Crooked Lane Brewery in Auburn, Learn about the daring winter trek by 4 local Ultra Runners who retraced the path of the team of starving pioneers who set out to find help for their Donner Party members in December 1846. Here their story and learn more about the original expedition. A silent auction loaded with local items will be held, with proceeds benefitting PARC.

On July 31, the 2021 California Enduro Series arrived at the Endurance Capital of the World. It’s 3rd event was hosted by Total Body Fitness and took place at Mammoth Bar.
