This venerable event, aptly described as the Grand Daddy of Endurance Running, was held during the most amazingly wonderful weather conditions the event has ever seen. Unheard of highs in the mid-80s! No triple digits that usually challenge runners of all levels. Jim Walmsly, the course record holder was not competing this year, but women’s favorite, 2018 winnner Courtney Daulwater, took full advantage of the conditions to finish in 15 hours, 29 minutes and 34 seconds, a time that shaved one-hour and almost 20 minutes off of Ellie Greenwood’s record set in 2012.
