The biggest and most difficult 100 mile 24 Hour Horse Endurance Ride in the US and the World. Sue Basham’s son Paul and I crewed for her and her amazing horse, Kismet Cognac, (KC).

2022 Tevis Cup Details
The Tevis cup ride runs along 100 mostly rugged and remote miles of the Western States Trail, from Truckee CA to Auburn CA, finishing at McCann Stadium at the Auburn Fairgrounds.

There were 131 Riders and Horses starting the ride. 72 were pulled. The 72 pulls include 14 who Rider Optioned out. Sue made the decision to do that at Foresthill, mile 68. Her mare, KC, had passed every vet check but Sue felt that KC was not 100% herself and they have already successfully completed 6 Tevis Cups together.

There are highlights from Ride Camp, Robie Equestrian Park South of Truckee CA, Robinson Flat and Foresthill Vet checks and 1 Hour Holds, Ride Finish, Best Condition competition and Awards Banquet.
