Auburn resident Rae Clark was the first American to become a true “Renaissance Man” of the ultra distance sport. He excelled at a world-class level at all 3 race-type venues: Road, Track and Trail. The City of Auburn has honored his accomplishments with an Endurance Zone tile in Central Square in Downtown Auburn.
